asranarshism.com/donation/In this thread, we will provide current news & updates in this regard.
1) In these last three months since the uprising & the revolution, a few active anarchist affinity groups have joined the Federation of Anarchism Era. Each of these groups, including existing groups, has networks in multiple cities across Iran, & their range of activities spans from mutual aid to insurrectionary actions against the Islamic Republic regime.
Due to the expansive range of activities, they need funds for relocation, medical, and frontline needs. There is a massive shortage of antibiotics and other medical supplies in Iran. Also, the doctors charge a hefty fee to provide care covertly on the wounds that comrades can’t deal with themselves. We, with your help & solidarity, are supporting them to the best of our abilities.
2) Many of our comrades have family members, relatives, & acquaintances in prison, injured, or killed in the revolution, which we can’t share for security reasons. Many among them are anarchists or have anarchist inclinations. The regime has set outrageous bail bonds for people ranging from 25 million Toman (~621 USD) to 250 Million (~6200 USD) or more. These are all arrests without evidence of wrongdoing. With evidence, things would have escalated to much worse. Our comrades requested our help to assist those that we can, which undoubtedly proves to advance our anarchist cause in Iran.
3) People are hurting. The providers of many households in Iran either lost their lives or their capacity to provide because they were severely injured or imprisoned in this uprising. Even worse, many of them were either forced or advised into silence to avoid further violence from the regime. Many of our comrades have connected with these families and provided small and temporary financial help. Unfortunately, the help can only be limited, and we need more funding to continue that project.
4) We explored ways to import medical or arsenal supplies through the border. Unfortunately, we don’t have the infrastructure for such operations covertly. Trust in the existing networks is impossible as they are likely in cahoots with IRGC.
5) We are still providing a secure VPN to our comrades. Comrades in different cellular providers experience different results, but V2Ray Vmess/Vless & Trojan VPNs seem to be working fine. Riseup VPN was suggested to us, but we didn’t use it because of its low speed at the best of conditions, which would be extremely challenging to use in Iran. We are maintaining servers in countries near Iran to help with the ping & speed.
Since our last updates, we have sent about 1600 USD to Iran on multiple instances to multiple people. Our comrades used the money on the projects mentioned in items 1 & 3. We hope for your continuous support and solidarity so we can continue to support our comrades and help free some anarchist prisoners mentioned in item 2.
